With all the news about glaciers and frozen oceans on Mars, one figure has stuck out for me: the dating of the event which froze the oceans is 5 million years plus or minus 2 million. An astronomer who's work I've long taken an interest within (not including his belief that Martian landscapes show evidence of alien intelligence) has an interesting theory which he proposed years ago to explain the present location of Mars and various physical anomolies, all as the result of an event that took place 3.2 million years ago. According to CNN he's apparently been right in his unorthodox prediction of comet and asteroid behavior and characteristics. Worth a look...
